Tasu Construction
Feb 12, 2024
In October 2024, after 6 months of construction, Tasu completed 10 single family homes for a First Nation group in Northern BC. This project was initiated to provide families with stable, comfortable and affordable housing within their community. Each home features 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, fenced yards, full kitchens and wood burning fireplaces.
Tasu faced a tight project deadline, as it was important that future residents of these homes would be able to move in before the cold, harsh winter. Tasu began construction of these homes in the spring and worked hard to complete them by the fall. Thanks to the dedication of our team and organizational skills of our project managers/site supervisors, all 10 homes were completed by the end of October.
Prior to construction, Tasu was also involved in the design, permitting and manufacturing process.

Tasu values early and ongoing engagement with our clients, to ensure that each housing project meets the unique needs, values and vision of the community. Therefore, this First Nation housing project was guided by community consultation every step of the way. For this project, our client emphasized the importance of having sustainable and environmentally thoughtful housing, in consideration for the future of the community. As a result, these homes achieved Step Code 3 energy efficiency, due to enhancements of the building envelope and HVAC systems.
By listening and collaborating closely with the community, we ensure that every project we complete is not only a house, but also a true home.
