Our Story
Founded in 2013, and based in Squamish BC, Tasu Construction delivers innovative, adaptable modular construction services from early planning and design through to installation and final commissioning.
Tasu is named after a large coastal sound on the west side of Haida Gwaii, off the coast of British Columbia, which is as rugged as it is beautiful. Tasu Sound embodies the type of area in which we thrive – remote, hard-to-reach areas that often require reliable temporary housing for workers. Formerly operating as Landsea Camp Services and Landsea Construction Ltd., Tasu has evolved from a remote workforce camp installation specialist into a comprehensive construction partner focused on modern, prefabricated project delivery across Western Canada. Our goal; to improve lives and strengthen communities by delivering innovative, sustainable building solutions that create meaningful and lasting impact.
Tasu’s approach is rooted in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA), ensuring that buildings are designed with fabrication, transportation, and installation in mind from day one. This allows us to reduce inefficiencies, control quality, and execute complex modular installations with confidence.
The increasing demand for quality housing, whether temporary or permanent, requires modular construction solutions that are more time and cost-effective than traditional construction methods. Health & Safety
We are committed to elevating Health and Safety standards for our workers, partners and communities.
Whether it’s a remote location or within a busy urban center, we deploy a Health & Safety Committee to oversee the Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) Program. This ensures all construction procedures are implemented and adhered to. Our management team conducts routine site inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate policy knowledge, and provide ongoing training opportunities.
Our workforce receives proper training and certifications in their job duties and responsibilities.
Every team member receives comprehensive training in Safe Work Procedures relevant to their job responsibilities and tasks during orientation. They are required to familiarize themselves with and adhere to our OH&S Program and attend Toolbox Meetings, during which we address safety issues, enhancements to job standards, and general work and service-related matters.
We are a certified member of the Avetta Consortium. This signifies that we are part of a global effort to advance company and worker safety, sustainability and operational excellence.
Tasu Construction maintains full compliance with ComplyWorks by consistently updating and verifying all required safety, insurance, and regulatory documentation.
Tasu Construction has achieved Certificate of Recognition (COR) status through the BC Construction Safety Alliance (BCCSA). This milestone recognizes that our health and safety management system meets provincially recognized standards and reflects our ongoing commitment to protecting our people.
