EMERGENCY RESPONSE CENTRE, SUPPORTIVE HOUSING

WEST KELOWNA EMERGENCY RESPONSE CENTRE

Project Description

Tasu Construction collaborated closely with BC Housing to provide and set up an Emergency Response Centre (ERC) in West Kelowna to support individuals at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

Our team managed the transportation, connection, and commissioning of ten modular units and linked these units to the municipal water supply, electrical grid, and fire protection systems. A temporary wastewater holding tank was also installed until a permanent line could be extended to the site. The project exceeded the construction safety standards established by WorkSafe BC and was completed ahead of the November 2021 deadline, ensuring that shelter was available during the harsh winter months.
