Our Story
Tasu is named after a large coastal sound on the west side of Haida Gwaii, off the coast of British Columbia, which is as rugged as it is beautiful. Tasu Sound embodies the type of area in which we thrive – remote, hard-to-reach areas that often require reliable temporary housing for workers. Our team is based in Squamish, British Columbia, which is the perfect midway point between the wide-open spaces of mountainous terrain and downtown Vancouver. Our expertise lies in our ability to provide quality housing solutions regardless of location, geography, or physical distance.
Tasu Construction has been providing modular construction and installation services for Western Canada since 2013, previously as Landsea Camp Services and Landsea Construction Ltd. until 2022. As our company grew, we expanded our expertise to provide not only permanent workforce housing but also supportive housing, First Nation housing and temporary emergency shelters.
The increasing demand for quality housing, whether temporary or permanent, requires modular construction solutions that are more time and cost-effective than traditional construction methods. Whether it’s a remote location or within a busy urban center, the needs of industry and government organizations are the same: smart, efficient, and reliable housing solutions that improve the lives of the building operators and those who call it home.
Why Partner With Tasu Construction?
Health & Safety
We are committed to elevating Health and Safety standards for our workers, partners and communities.
Whether it’s a remote location or within a busy urban center, we deploy a Health & Safety Committee to oversee the Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) Program. This ensures all construction procedures are implemented and adhered to. Our management team conducts routine site inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate policy knowledge, and provide ongoing training opportunities.
Our workforce receives proper training and certifications in their job duties and responsibilities.
Every team member receives comprehensive training in Safe Work Procedures relevant to their job responsibilities and tasks during orientation. They are required to familiarize themselves with and adhere to our OH&S Program and attend Toolbox Meetings, during which we address safety issues, enhancements to job standards, and general work and service-related matters.

About Modular Construction
Modular construction offers a smart, innovative and cost-effective solution to a variety of construction projects. By pre-fabricating building components in a controlled environment, construction can occur simultaneously with site preparation, which significantly reduces the overall project timeline. Additionally, the modular approach often results in cost savings due to fewer on-site labor hours, reduced material waste and fewer delays caused by weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Finally, because the modular components are built within factory settings with standardized processes, modular construction leads to quality control enhancements.

> Fastened to a permanent foundation
> Can be multiple levels
> Longer lifespan
> Can focus more on design and customization
